DIGILocker - A Digital India Initiative

DIGILocker is a Digital India Initiative launched by Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India.

By signing up for DigiLocker with Aadhaar Number every resident will get to securely store e-documents and Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) link of e-documents issued by various issuer departments, in in subsequent release of DIGILocker (DigitalLocker) the storage space allocation will be increased to 1GB. The e-Sign feature in DigiLocker system can be used to digitally sign e-documents.

Residents registered with DIGILocker (DigitalLocker) will be easily able to Share e-documents online with any registered requester department or agency.
