Finding Aadhaar Number by name was earlier not possible if the resident has lost his or her Aadhaar Enrollment Slip or Aadhaar Card. This was the most awaited feature that has been recently launched on Aadhaar Portal.

Now if the individual has lost their Aadhaar Enrollment Slip or Aadhaar Card Number they can easily find their Aadhaar Number by name and can download a new duplicate copy of Aadhaar Card and use it for various purposes. So the below steps will allow you to know How to Find Aadhaar Number by Name.

Requirements to Find Aadhaar Number by Name

To find Aadhaar Number by name you should have following things:

1. Mobile Number or email id should be registered with your Aadhaar
2. Registered Mobile Number and email should be active
3. Active Internet Connection

• Visit the official Aadhaar www.uidai.gov.in

• On the UIDAI homepage, you will find various online services, from get the Aadhaar category just click on option Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID.

• A new page of Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID will open in which you will be able to recover your lost Aadhaar Number.
• From the two options available I want to retrieve my lost or forgotten: Aadhaar No (UID) or Enrolment ID (EID), select Aadhaar Number.
• In the below field please enter a valid Name as it appears in your Aadhar, then enter the registered mobile number or email id.
• Complete the Captcha Verification by typing the character you see in the picture.

• And click on send OTP or enter totp option. (if you have mAadhaar App on your phone and if you are pretty good in generating TOTP's then select enter TOTP or else you can carry the authentication via OTP which will send one-time password on your registered mobile number)
• Enter the received OTP or TOTP and click on the login button.
• If you had supplied the correct information then you will receive SMS or email as per option which you have selected containing your 12digit Aadhaar Number.
