UIDAI has recently made changes to the e-Aadhaar PDF Password, from now onwards whenever you download your e-Aadhaar Card PDF the old password which is postal pin code will not work as a Aadhar password.

You will have to enter a new aadhar password combination set by UIDAI, but to open all existing downloaded e-Aadhaar Card PDF File which you have stored on your PC or Smartphones the same old aadhar password that is Pincode will work as a adhar pdf password.

Here is the new adhar pdf password which you need to enter to open your e-Aadhaar Card PDF File.

What is New Password to open e-Aadhaar Card PDF?

Use the first four alphabets of your name in upper case and year of birth as a Aadhaar password to open the E-Aadhaar pdf file.

How do I access my e-Aadhaar Card?

Below are the Aadhaar password examples with which you could access your e-Aadhaar Card.

Getting Aadhaar Card was not an easy task ever. But for newborns there is a facility to get enrolled for Aadhar in hospital itself.

But what if a person is dead, how to deactivate or report his data from the UIDAI Database saying the person is no more alive. This is actually very confusing matter and no one has information regarding this topic from government officials to the general public.

On Aadhaar UIDAI Official Portal itself there is nothing mentioned about how to delete the database or Aadhaar if person is no more alive.

Concerned officials when asked this questioned they replied back saying such request has to come from the State Government, also the Gram Panchayat or GHMC can inform the concerned department about the details of dead person. As soon as such request has been received by Aadhaar Officials, they will start processing the deactivation process of Aadhaar Number of that dead person. And in future the same number will not be allotted to anyone else.

However this feature of reporting to remove the data of Aadhaar of expired or deal resident has been recently introduced, but the awareness is very low among the public.

To download Aadhaar Card from UIDAI Website or mAadhaar app aadhar card download password is not required. But once you finish downloading your Aadhaar Card PDF File, to view your downloaded eAadhaar PDF it will ask you to enter the password. This means your e-Aadhaar PDF file is encrypted with password protection for your security and
privacy reasons. Without entering the valid password your e-Aadhaar card cannot be viewed by anyone.

So In this post, we will focus on how people after downloading their e-Aadhaar Card Letter can open their Aadhaar if they are facing any difficulty in it.

To Open the PDF file of Aadhaar Letter you need the password, many people may be unaware of their Aadhar password and some people even though knowing the correct Aadhar password may be unsuccessful to unlock or view their Aadhaar PDF. Below are steps explained clearly which will help you to know what is Aadhaar Card PDF Password.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

🔒 Open Aadhaar Card PDF by entering Aadhaar Card PDF Password

Once you have your Aadhaar PDF file on your device, just open the file with any PDF Software or Google Chrome Browser itself.

When you open the PDF File it will prompt you to enter the password, once supplying the Aadhaar Card PDF password then only you will be able to view your e-Aadhaar Card Letter.

Now here is the solution, in the password prompt you will have to put the Aadhaar password and the password will be your first four letters of the name in block letters + Year of birth, previously Aadhaar PDF used to get open by entering the postal address pin code. So to tighten the security, even more, UIDAI has changed the Aadhaar PDF Password Format.

Postal Pin Code will only work as a password to open eAadhaar Card PDF which was downloaded earlier. If you have downloaded your Aadhar PDF recently then this new password format will be applied to it.

Below are some examples for your reference stating how the Aadhaar password combination will be according to your details:

e aadhaar password example

Name: Sharman Joshi

Year of Birth: 1985

The password will be SHAR1985

Name: Ram Pothineni

Year of Birth: 1988

The password will be RAMP1988

_______________________________

Name: N. T. Rama Rao

Year of Birth: 1983

The password will be N.T.1983

Name: JAY

Year of Birth: 1990

The password will be JAY1990

Aadhar Card Password for 2 letter name

Name: Di
Year of Birth: 2004

The password will be DI2004

It's very simple when the software prompts you to enter the password for Aadhar pdf, the password which you should pass is the first four letters of the name in block letters + Year of birth.

So after entering the password for Aadhar pdf, you will be able to view your Aadhaar Card and then you are ready to print it.

After Printing the e-Aadhaar Letter you can also laminate it and make it like a card and use it to avail various services in the long run. However, now you can even request the original Aadhaar Card Letter by paying a nominal fee of ₹50.

The password pattern to open Aadhaar PDF will be same for all Aadhaar Cards which is downloaded from the UIDAI Website like Baal Aadhaar (child Aadhaar), Adult Aadhaar, Disabled Aadhaar, Bedridden Aadhaar, etc.

What in case if you forget your 🔒 e-Aadhaar Card PDF Password

There is no need to be concerned or worried in case if you forget your Aadhaar PDF Password. Aadhaar PDF Password is not something unique which the user has set, instead, it's just a combination of Aadhaar Holder's first four-letter followed by the Year of Birth.

So anytime if you forget your Aadhaar PDF Password then you can come to this post and get to know Aadhaar password pattern to open your eAadhaar PDF Password.

Aadhaar Password not working | e aadhaar password incorrect

If the latest Aadhaar password pattern which is the first four letters (in capital letters) + year of birth is not working or its showing e aadhaar password incorrect then that means you may be having the Aadhaar Card Copy which was downloaded earlier when the password pattern used to be different. So if the new format of Aadhaar password not working, then you can try out your postal code to open Aadhaar document password protected.

Password for Old Aadhar

If you have old Aadhaar stored on your thumb drive, laptop, hard drive or computer then the adhar pdf password combination for the old Aadhaar will be different from the latest one. As told earlier the adhar pdf password to unlock the password-protected old Aadhaar PDF file will be the postal code. So when Aadhaar Card PDF is asking the password, enter the postal code and your Aadhaar PDF file will get open.

UIDAI provides a feature on its portal named verify the mobile number in Aadhaar. This feature of verifying the mobile number is just similar to checking which mobile number has been provided while your Aadhaar Application.
Is you Aadhaar Card enrollment Rejected? did you receive any message on your registered mobile number that your Aadhaar Card generation is rejected? then here we are going to list a few reasons which could lead to such rejections.

Main Reason Behind Rejection of Aadhaar

Mostly many people in India have messed up and don’t remember if they have been earlier enrolled for Aadhaar Card or not. And because they have not received their Aadhaar Card they go to Aadhaar Center and they get their self re-enroll, but this is not the solution to this problem.

A person can enroll for Aadhaar Card only once and once you have been issued with 12 digit Aadhaar, even if you try to enroll yourself any number of times your application will always get rejected. If the first application is valid and all documents have been furnished then it will be accepted and you will be issued with 12 digit Aadhaar Number, however, you will also get your Aadhaar Card Letter delivered to your address via India Post.

On the Aadhaar Card Application form, you will also find a declaration stating if already enrolled don’t enroll again, check out the below screenshot of the Aadhaar Card form where they have printed declaration.
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

So before re-enrolling yourself, you should make sure that you have not been enrolled for Aadhaar in the past. And if you are sure enough then you can get yourself re-enrolled for Aadhaar by visiting nearest Aadhaar Kendra.

But before you re-enroll yourself for Aadhaar just find out what is the exact reason behind the rejection of your application. If you get to know the reason then next time while re-enrolling you won't repeat that mistake. Below are the reasons which could lead to rejection errors like:

This enrollment has been rejected due to data/process error. Please visit an enrollment center to re-enroll.

Aadhar rejected due to a technical error

Reasons for Aadhaar Rejections

Name not entered as per UIDAI Guidelines

Photo captured in the update request is not matching with the photo on Aadhaar

Age appears to be incorrect on the basis of the photo

Relationship mismatch

Photograph captured that of object/animal /Deity etc in place of resident

The blank page is scanned as POI/POA/POB/POR

The resident details are not matching with the documents submitted as POI/POA/POR/POB

The document scanned as part of enrolment is not legible/not readable.

Document of another person attached.

Only enrolment Slip or consent slip attached,

No proof document

No document attached,

Only screenshot or random images attached.\Gender does not match the photo.

Age appears to be incorrect on the basis of the photo (eg: age 5 for an adult photo)

Full facial Photo is not clearly visible

Multiple Photos - with different people in them.

The photo has shadows/face not clear/ blurred"

Name contains abusive words/slangs or unparliamentary language

Name contains Initials only or abbreviations.

Name contains any suffix/pre-fix in the name (like Late, Sir, Dr., Er.)

Name with a nickname (like using Urf or two names (one name in bracket).

Names with Special characters or Abstract/Unusual names."

Verify the address - it should be sufficient enough so that Aadhaar letter can be delivered to the resident.

In the case of small villages, the village name should be sufficient but in the case of cities, House No./Landmark/locality/Area should have been given in addition to City and State name."

The photo should appear as taken live via webcam at the time of Enrolment; hence it should appear as a live photo of the resident.

It should not appear as taken from (i) hard copy of photo (passport photo etc.) or (ii) photo on a monitor (iii) photo on a mobile device.

Resident Photo should not have any edges.

The photo should not contain stamp marks, reflections, the mark of pin staple."

Enrolment details should not include any unparliamentary/Offensive Language

Document name mismatch

Scanned Image Not of Original Document

Demographic data mismatch( Document data do not match with entry data).

So above were the reasons why your Aadhaar Application or update requests are getting rejected. So make sure you are not making any of the above mistakes while re-enrolling for Aadhaar.

How to Re-enroll when Aadhaar Card Enrolment Rejected?

If your enrolment has been rejected due to technical reason or data/process error, you should first confirm that you won't repeat the same mistakes or errors which you made in your last application. You can refer to the above reasons for Aadhaar rejections and be extra careful while re-enrolment.

Below is the process explained on how to get re-enrolled for Aadhaar when your enrolment has been rejected.

Visit Aadhaar Enrolment Center with your address proof, and identity proof documents. Make sure on the documents your details are mentioned correctly.

Request for the Aadhaar Application form at the center.

Fill up the form with correct details as per address proof and identity proof document.

Submit the form with documents to the verifier to get your application and documents verified.

Then you will need to move to Aadhaar Enrolment Operator.

The operator will enter all the details in the software and your fingerprints, iris, and photograph will be captured.

Once done you will be handed over with Aadhaar receipt also called as Aadhaar Acknowledgement Receipt which you will need to keep with you carefully.

Then you will need to keep a track on your application, your application will be verified by the verification team and if everything is in the order you will be issued 12 digits Aadhaar Number. The entire process will take 1 - 3 months.
